Abstrak

Optimizing the Marine Park of Olele by empowering local human resources is a main program of KKN PPM 2017. The Marine Park of Olele which is located in Olele village, Kabila Bone subdistrict, Bone Bolango district is one of main tourist destinations in Gorontalo province. The target of the program is to support the village government in enhancing the marine park of Olele by giving English training for tour guide for the villagers particularly those who already have a basic knowledge of English. The learning materials focus on language skills especially for speaking ability related to the contents of being a tour guide. The method applied in the training are lecturing, discussing, role-playing and applying games and songs. Expectantly, the output of KKN PPM program is to help the village government to empower the villagers as local human resources in enhancing Olele Marine Park and to provide job vacancy and increase their income.
