Abstrak

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the respon of the production of two varietties of melon plants to pruning time. This study was conducted from April until June 2015 in the Village of Hulawa, District Telaga, Gorontalo Regency. Research using factorial design in RAK with varieties of the first factor consists of two levels ie Aramis F1 varieties and varieties of Action 434. The second factor is the time pruning shoots consists of three level ie 6, 7 and 8 MST. The results showed that treatment Aramis F1 varieties give the best response to the melon crop production include the date flowering, fruit and fruit weight circumference. When pruning shoots at 6 WAP (week after planting) gave the best response to the production of melon plants are flowering date, ring fruit, fruit weight. There are varieties of melon Aramis interaction between F1 and time pruning shoost 6 MST on plantingmelon fruit weight.
