Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh terhadap kemampuan servis atas pada permainan bola voli siswa putra kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Gorontalo. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen yang dilakukan di SMP Negeri 5 Kota Gorontalo tahun ajaran 2012/2013 pada siswa putra kelas VIII yang berjumlah 20 orang siswa data masing-masing variable diperoleh langsung melalui hasil tes yang dilaksanakan. Hasil penelitian yang dianalisis melalui uji t tes diperoleh harga Thitung sebesar 9.13 dan data yang diperoleh berdasarkan distribusi thitung lebih besar dari harga ttable . Sehingga hasil penguji hipotesis menerima H1 dan menolak H0. Kemampuan servis atas dalam permainan bola voli siswa putra kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Gorontalo.

Abstract
This study aims to determine how much influence on the ability of the service on the volleyball games male students of class VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Gorontalo. The method used is the method of experiments conducted in SMP Negeri 5 Kota Gorontalo 2012/2013 academic year at the male students of class VIII student of 20 people each variable data is obtained directly through the results of tests conducted. Results of the study were analyzed by t-test tests obtained Thitung price of 9.13 and the data obtained by the distribution thitung greater than the price TTable. So that the results of testing hypothesis H1 accept and reject H0. Servicing ability on the volleyball games male students of class VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Gorontalo.
