The Students' Perspective On The Use Of Self Access Center The objective of the research to investigate the students' perspective on the use of self access center at English Department Students. Self-access center is a facility which "consists of a number of resources (in the form of materials, activities and support), usually located in one place, and is designed to accommodate learners of different levels, goals, styles and interests" (Cotterall & Reinders, as cited in Castellano, Mynard, & Rubesch, 2011, p. 12). In this research, a qualitative method is apply in this research. The participants are the students of English Department Letter and Culture Faculty in academic year 2012/2013. The total participants are 20 students. The data are collect through observation, questionnaire and documentation. The results showed that self access center is very important for the development of English Department students. There are many function of self access center for the students based on the result such as the use of computers as a helpful media that will make easy the students to do their work, the use of internet for browsing knowledge, searching for the task; the use of some media that support the teaching and learning process such as LCD, TV, DVD Player, software. There are also some spaces or places that provide in self access center to make the students feel comfortable such as reading corner, listening corner, video corner and computer and multimedia corner. Self access center give many advantages for the development of education, such as searching material and also encouraging students' ability. However, the self access center has some disadvantages such as the connection of internet that still low and the students usually access something which is not related to the material.
