Abstrak
ABSTRACT Yabudi, Yuli Tri Safitri.(2015). "The Increasing Students' Listening Comprehension by Using Class Wide Peer Tutoring Technique. ( a research conducted in SMA Negeri 1 Bulagi in academic year 2014/2015. Advisor I : Prof.Dr.H.Hasanuddin Fatsah.,M.Hum and Advisor II : Dra.Elsje L.Sambouw., M.Hum This final project is about the increasing students' listening comprehension in descriptive text by using Class Wide Peer Tutoring technique. Class Wide Peer Tutoring is interesting technique in English teaching. The aim of this research is to help the students in increase their listening comprehension. This research focuses to look the change of the students' score in listening skill after the students get Class Wide Peer Tutoring as the treatment. The sample in this research is the students XA of SMA Negeri 1 Bulagi 2014/2015 in academic year that consist of 21 students. This research used experimental design as the method. In this research, the researcher found that mean score of pre-test < rata-rata post- test or 15.67 < 24.61. it can be conclude that the hypothesis of this research was accepting. It was stated by the result of t-test. From the calculation of t-test, the researcher found that tcount > tlist atau 10,35 > 1,67. So it concluded that Class Wide Peer Tutoring can increase the students' listening comprehension. This research show that Class Wide Peer Tutoring is one of other way to increase the students' listening comprehension, so the English teacher can use Class Wide Peer Tutoring as the technique in teaching and learning process. for the other researcher, Class Wide Peer Tutoring can be applied in another skill such as speaking, reading, writing skill and spelling.
