This study aims to find out and to analyze the characterization of the main characters in The Best of Me movie. This research focuses to analyze Dawson Cole's and Amanda Colier's characterization using Archetype theory by Carl Gustav Jung. This analysis found that Dawson and Amanda had all kind of archetype was appear in their character. That is persona, anima/animus, shadow and self. Dawson has 11 persona, 3 anima, 3 shadow and 6 self. Moreover, in Amanda character was appear 8 persona, 3 animus, 1 shadow and 3 self. Dawson and Amanda characterization were caring, hero, egoistic, arrogant, kindness, brave, and pretending. Liar, responsibility, motivated person, and love. The result after analyzing their characterization, Amanda and Dawson can reach their self or wholeness after realizing their persona, anima/animus and shadow.
