Adviser 1, Rahmawaty Mamu, S.Pd., M.Pd and adviser 2 Yusna Bantulu, S.Pd., M.A. The aim of this study was to find out find out whether series picture can enhance students comprehension in writing or not. Writing tests were used as the instruments for assessing narrative text according to Browns theory .This study used the quantitative method using pre experimental in analyzing the data and used Ttest to analysis the data and to test the hypothesis. The sample was 22 students from SMA Negeri 6 Gorontalo Utara, class IPA2. The results showed that there was an enhancing in students knowledge from pre-test to post- test. In pre-test the students ability count in 49,35% and in post-test it count 73,16%. It enhance 23,81%. Moreover, the result t-test, the researcher found t count t list or -5.8997 2.035 and this was appropriate with the criteria of hypothesis verification that (H0) will be tenable if t count t list. It proved that series picture effective to enhance students writing, especially writing a narrative text. Key words: writing, narrative, fairytale, media, series picture.
