Abstrak
ABSTRACT Sitti Suhartina Taib Abdullah. 2018. Reintroducing Suggestopedia with a Touch of Technology in Teaching Reading 11th Grade Students in Gorontalo, Faculty of Letters and Culture, Gorontalo State University. Advisor (1) Karmila Machmud, M.A., Ph.D, (2) Sri Agriyanti Mestari, S.Pd., M.Ed TESOL. This experimental study used suggestopedia integrated technology toperceive whether this method can increase students' English learning achievement on narrative text. Suggestopedia is a teaching method that is believed to improve students' learning achievement especially in language learning. Suggestopedia is a different method compared to another where students will be relaxed in following the learning process. Technology that integrated in this study was video presentation and it facilitated teacher's task at one stage of suggestopedia which is concert section.This study used one group pre-test and post test design which the sample was 12 students of XI IPS 1 in SMA Negeri 1 Suwawa. The data of this study collected by using multiple choice test and have been analyzed using t-test formula. From the analysis, the mean score of pre-test was 5,08 and post test was 7,5. Moreover, the tcount of this study was 2,54 higher than tlist which 2,201. By seeing this result, the hypothesis which is suggestppedia can increase students' English learning achievement on narrative text was received and the H0 was rejected.
