Daun Alpukat ( Persea americanna P. MILL ) merupakan salah satu bagian tanaman yang dapat dijadikan obat tradisional untuk mengobati berbagai penyakit. Salah satu Kandungan senyawa yang diketahui adalah Alkaloid yang berguna bagi kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kandungan senyawa alakaloid pada daun Alpukat ( Persea americanna P. MILL ) dengan metode kromatografi lapis tipis. Sampel awal dimaserasi dengan pelarut etanol selama 3x24 jam, kemudian filtrat yang diperoleh diuji pendahuluan Alkaloid dengan menambahkan 5 mL HCl. Hasil uji pendahuluan, menunjukan sampel positif mengandung Alkaloid ditandai dengan endapan merah jingga. Setelah itu dilakukan uji dengan metode kromatografi lapis tipis. Hasil uji KLT menunjukan bahwa daun Alpukat positif mengandung senyawa Alkaloid dengan eluen Etanol : Kloroform ( 1 : 1 ) dan eluen Etanol : Kloroform ( 2 : 1 ) dan kemudian disemprotkan dengan pereaksi dragendrof dan menghasilkan bercak orange diduga positif mengandung Alkaloid.

Leaves Avocado ( Persea americanna P. MILL ) is one part of the plant that can be used as a traditional medicine to treat various diseases. One of the known compound content of alkaloids which are useful for health. This study aims to identify the content of compounds in the leaves alakaloid Avocado ( Persea americanna P. MILL ) with thin layer chromatography method. The initial sample macerated with ethanol for 3x24 hours, then filtrate obtained preliminary alkaloids tested by adding 5 mL of HCl. Preliminary test results, showing positive samples containing alkaloids are marked with orange-red precipitate. After that tested by thin layer chromatography method. The test results showed that KLT positive Avocado leaves contain alkaloid compounds with ethanol eluent: chloroform (1: 1) and ethanol eluent: chloroform (2: 1) and then sprayed with reagent dragendrof and produce patches of orange allegedly tested positive for alkaloids.
