Lipstik adalah sediaan kosmetika yang digunakan untuk mewarnai bibir dengan sentuhan artistic sehingga dapat meningkatkan estetika dalam tata rias wajah yang dikemas dalam bentuk batang padat. Sesuai ketentuan dari SNI ditetapkan bahwa batas cemaran bakteri untuk lipstick yaitu 1x105 cfu/g. Sehingga pada penelitian ini peneliti melakukan identifikasi cemaran bakteri pada lipstick yang dijual di pasar sentral kota Gorontalo.
Pada penelitian kali ini menggunakan metode tuang (Pour plate) dengan metode perhitungan TPC (Total Plate Count), dengan menggunakan medium Natriu Agar. Dilakukan pengecatan gram, dengan menggunakan larutan lugol, alcohol 98%, larutan safranin, dan kristal violet.
Hanya sampel lipstick A yang terdapat cemaran bakteri yaitu 3,9x102 koloni/gram, tetapi cemaran ini masih memenuhi standar dari SNI. Dan pada pengecatan gram didapatkan hasil bakteri jenis gram positif.

Lipsticks is cosmetics used to color the lips with artistic color to enhance the aesthetic of facial make up in the solid base stick shape. Based on the National Standard of Indonesia, the limit of the pollutant bacteria in lipstick is 1x105 cfu/g. Hence, this research aims at identifying the pollutant bacteria in lipsticks that are sold in the central market of Gorontalo City.
This research used pour plate method and using the Total Plate Count calculation using the Nutrient Agar medium. The salt painting is conducted using the lughole solution, alcohol 98%, yellowish solution, and violet crystal.
It reveals that only sample lipstick A that contains the pollutant bacteria of 3,9x102 colony/g, however this pollutant is still within the allowed range of SNI. In addition, the salt painting reveals the positive gram type of bacteria.
