Abstrak

Lake Limboto is one of the natural resources assets within the watershed of Limboto river. Lake Limboto ecosystem within 920 km2 area and 23 tributaries that flow into the lake. Limboto lake now is in very poor condition due to the undergoing process of shrinkage and siltation because of sedimentation that threatenis existence in the future. Decrease in the extent of water lake area caused the declination in function of the lake as a water reservoir area, so the occurrence potential of floods and drought in the area surrounds the region, even outside the area. conservation of Limboto Lake can be done by suppress the pace of siltation and shrinkage with environmental conservation of watershed approaches Key words : Limboto Lake, Watershed Conservation
