Abstrak

Road infrastructure development in Gorontalo Province needs many aggregate. This province having many natural materials stock, such as, mountain sand. Nowadays Donggala Mountain sand used only for building foundation embankment by local people. This research used fine aggregates is sand of Donggala Mountain and coarse aggregates of Bone River. The testing materials consist of water content test, specific gravity and absorption test, grain size test, Atterberg limit test, clay lump test, and abrasion test. Based on, proportion of Donggala Mountain sand and Bone River gravel was used, namely 30% : 70%, given CBR unsoaked is 69%, but value of CBR soaked is 28%. These Donggala Mountain sand could be used as subbase coarse materials in dry condition, whereas used wet condition is not eligible.
