Weeding is mostly done using pesticides, which are considered more practical. However, the impact of using pesticides will cause changes in the spectrum of fairly large weeds or sensitive weeds to be tolerant. Mulching is an action that can suppress weed growth. The aim of research is to determine the effect of weeding and organic mulch on the growth and yield of patchouli plants. This research was conducted in Talango Utara Village, Kabila Subdistrict, Bone Bolango District, from April to September 2016. The study used factorial randomized block design method consisting of 3 times weeding and 2 types of organic mulch. The first factor is the weeding time which consists of 3 levels, namely: weed 1 time at 2 MST, weed 2 times at 2 and 4 MST and weed 3 times at 2, 4 and 6 MST. The second factor is the type of organic mulch consisting of 2 levels, namely: organic mulch, rice straw 12 kg / plot and organic mulch reeds 12 kg / plot. Observation parameters included plant height, number of leaves, wet weight of planting and dry weight of planting. Data analysis using variance (ANOVA) with 5% BNT Test. The results showed that weeding time with weeding 3 times affected the number of leaves at 4, 8 and 10 MST. The treatment of organic mulch reeds affects plant height 4, 6 and 8 MST, number of leaves 4, 8 and 10 MST. There is an interaction between the time of weeding and the use of organic mulch on patchouli growth. The treatment combination was weeded 3 times and the organic mulch of reeds was the best treatment in influencing plant height 10 MST and number of leaves 6 MST.
