Abstrak
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of planting distance and weeding time on the growth and yield of
the okra green plant of Naila variety IPB. This study used Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD), the first factor
was planting distance (30 x 30 and 30 x 40 cm) and the second factor was weeding time (control, 32 days after
planting and 46 days after planting). Each treatment was repeated three times. Parameters observed were plant
height, number of leaves, number of fruits, length of fruit, weight of fruit. Data were analyzed for diversity of ANOVA
(Analysis of variance) and continued with the Lest Significant Difference (LSD). The results showed that the spacing
had a significant effect on plant height of two weeks after planting, the number of leaves of six weeks after planting and
the length of the fruit of the second and third harvests. The results showed that weeding time had a significant effect on
the fruit length of the second and third harvests. Interactions occur between treatment of planting distance and
weeding time at the length of the fruit of the second and third harvests. The best treatment is in the spacing of 30 x 30
cm and the weeding time of 32 days after the second harvest and the third harvest.
