Abstrak

The North and South Leato areas, Gorontalo City are the southern part of the northern arm of Sulawesi. The geological conditions of the research area are very complex. For this reason, it is very interesting to conduct this research to determine the stratigraphy so that it can be seen the reconstruction of the formation of the North and South Leato areas, Gorontalo City. The purpose of this study was to conduct a stratigraphy analysis of North and South Leato, Gorontalo City. This goal will be achieved using two research methods, namely field surveys in the form of detailed geological mapping and laboratory analysis in the form of petrographic analysis. The results and discussion of this study indicate that there are two geomorphological units and three rock units, three geological structural controls at work. The granite unit being the oldest unit formed in the deep sea and then experiencing uplift on it was deposited nonconformity with volcanic breccia units and reef limestone units in a shallow marine environment
