Abstrak

The research aimed at predicting the default level that happened on cosmetic sectors and registered household needs in Indonesia stock exchange in 2015-2017 buy using Altman Z-Score analysis. The object of this research was a cosmetics company that consisted of 6 registered companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sampling of this research used purposive sampling technique and from six companies, five involved criteria. Based on the results of Altman Z-Score analysis by the guideline accounting refort so it could be obtained from the 2015-2017 could be known each of companies by an explanation as follows: 1) the company that has score Z > 2.90 or company was categorized free from the risk of default was PT. MI with the score Z in 2015-2017 was 3.71, 3.67, and 3.31; 2) the company that had score Z 1.20-2.90 or potential company in default was PT. AWI Tbk with the score Z in 2015-2017 was 2.08, 2.25 and 1.84, PT. KI with the score Z was 2.23, 2.10 and 2.06, PT. MB had score Z was 2.22, 2.08 and 1.59, and PT. MR with the score Z was 2.64, 2.51, and 2.32; 3) no company had th score Z < 1.20 or a company that had serious accounting condition. From the result, it obtained that local cosmetic product go public was shifted within the other local product competition that had not been going public and also outside product was more circulated in Indonesia.
