Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah dengan menerapkan teori Van Hiele pada pembelajaran jaring-jaring kubus kemampuan siswa kelas V SDN 2 Tunggulo Kabupaten Gorontalo dapat membuat jaring-jaring kubus meningkat. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas V SDN 2 Tunggulo Kabupaten Gorontalo membuat jaring-jaring kubus melalui penerapan teori Van Hiele. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Sementara teknik analisis data data yang digunakan adalah skala Likert, yaitu kriteri kurang dengan skala 0, kriteria cukup dengan skala 1, kriteria baik dengan skala 2, dan kriteria sangat baik dengan skala 3.
Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Metode ini medeskripsikan keadaan atau fenomena yang terjadi yang menyangkut kemampuan siswa membuat jaring-jaring kubus melalui penerapan teori Van Hiele di kelas V SDN 2 Tunggulo Kabupaten Gorontalo.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada siklus I siswa yang mampu memperoleh nilai 65 ke atas berjumlah 6 orang atau 20,69% dari 29 orang siswa sedangkan yang memperoleh nilai 65 ke bawah berjumlah 23 orang atau 79,31%. Pada siklus II siswa yang mampu memperoleh nilai 65 keatas berjumlah 24 orang atau 82,79% dari 29 orang siswa. Sedangkan yang memperoleh nilai 65 kebawah berjumlah 5 orang atau 17,24%.
Disimpulkan dari hasil penelitian bahwa dengan menerapkan teori Van Hiele dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam membuat jaring-jaring kubus pada siswa kelas V SDN 2 Tunggulo Kabupaten Gorontalo.

The problem in this research was whether by applying the Van Hiele theory in cube nets learning can imrove the ability of the students of V class of SDN 2 Tunggulo, Gorontalo district. Besides, the purpose of this study was to improve the students ability to create a cube nets through the application of Van Hiele theory. The techniques of collecting data used in this research were observation, test, and documentation. Moreover, the technique of analizing data used was Likert Scale, which had scale rates: 0 for less criteria, 1 for enough criteria, 2 for good criteria, and 3 for very good criteria.
This action research was Classroom Action Research. This method was to describe the situation or phenomenon happened related with the students’ ability in creating a cube nets in V class of SDN 2 Tunggulo Gorontalo District.
The results showed that in first cycle, the students who were able to earn the value up to 65 were 6 students or 20,69% from 29 students. besides the students who were able to earn the value under 65 were 23 students or 79,31%. The results showed that in second sycle, the students who were able to earn the value up to 65 were 24 students or 82,79% from 29 students. besides the students who were able to earn the value under 65 were 5 students or 17,24%.
In conclusion, by applying the Van Hiele theory can imrove the ability in creating the cube nets of the students of V class in SDN 2 Tunggulo, Gorontalo Regency.
