Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca nyaring melalui media buku besar pada siswa kelas II SDN 3 Dungaliyo Kecamatan Bongomeme Kabupaten Gorontalo yang berjumlah 36 Orang siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, tiap siklus terdiri dari tahap awal, tahap pelaksanaan tindakan, tahap pemantauan evaluasi, tahap analisis dan refleksi.
Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualititatif dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keadaan yang terjadi dengan fokus permasalahan yang diteliti menyangkut kemampuan membaca nyaring melalui media buku besar pada siswa kelas II SDN 3 Dungaliyo Kecamatan Bongomeme Kabupaten Gorontalo. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I terdapat 16 orang (44 %) dari 36 orang siswa yang mampu membaca nyaring dengan capaian 72,6 %. Pada siklus II persentase siswa yang mampu membaca nyaring meningkat menjadi 66 % atau sebanyak 24 orang dengan capaian 82,3 %. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan membaca nyaring melalui media buku besar pada siswa kelas II SDN 3 Dungaliyo Kecamatan Bongomeme Kabupaten Gorontalo meningkat.

This study aims to improve the student’s loud reading ability through big book media at second grade of SDN 3 Dungaliyo Kecamatan Bongomeme Kabupaten Gorontalo to 36 student’s. The research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of the initial stage, the stage of implementation actions, monitoring the evaluation stage, the stage of analysis and reflection.
The method in this research is descriptive qualitative method with the aim to describe the situation that occurred with a focus on the problems under study improving the student’s loud reading ability through big book media at second grade of SDN 3 Dungaliyo Kecamatan Bongomeme Kabupaten Gorontalo. Based on the results showed that the cycle I have 16 people (44 %) of 36 students who are able to read aloud to the achievement of 72,6 %. In the second cycle the percentage of students who can read aloud to increase to 66 % or as many as 24 people with the achievements of 82,3 %. So the couclusion of the research is the student’s loud reading ability throughbig book media at second grade of SDN 3 Dungaliyo Kecamatan Bongomeme Kabupaten Gorontalo improved.
