Meningkatkan Kemampuan Menyelesaikan Soal Cerita Penjumlahan Dan Pengurangan Pecahan Biasa Melalui Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Type STAD Pada Siswa Kelas IV SDN 2 Ulapato A Kecamatan Telaga Biru Kabupaten Gorontalo. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini apakah kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita penjumlahan dan pengurangan pecahan biasa pada siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Ulapato A dapat ditingkatkan melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif type STAD (Student Teams-Achievement Division)?. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita penjumlahan dan pengurangan pecahan biasa melalui model pembelajaran koperatif type STAD (Student Teams-Achievment Division) pada siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Ulapato A Kecamatan Telaga Biru Kabupaten Gorontalo.
Metode penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research) yang dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Ulapato A Kecamatan Telaga Biru pada semester genap 2011/2012 dengan jumlah siswa 20 orang, 12 orang laki-laki dan 8 orang perempuan. Siklus I dilaksanakan selama 1 kali pertemuan dan siklus II dilaksanakan 1 kali pertemuan. Hasil penelitian bahwa pada siklus 1 dari 20 orang kesuluruhan jumlah siswa terdapat 12 orang siswa yang memperoleh nilai 65 ke atas atau sebanyak 60%. Pada siklus II sudah mengalami peningkatan yakni menjadi 18 orang siswa atau 90%. Dengan demikian, hal ini sudah memenuhi indikator kinerja dalam penelitian ini yaitu apabila hasil belajar siswa dalam proses pembelajaran tentang kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita penjumlahan dan pengurangan pecahan biasa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran koperatif tipe STAD (Student Teams-Achievment Division)mencapai persontase 85% pada nilai 65 keatas, maka penelitian ini berhasil.
Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita penjumlahan dan pengurangan pecahan biasa pada siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Ulapato A kecamatan Telaga Biru Kabupaten Gorontalo meningkat.

Problems in this study is the ability to solve word problems common fractions in the fourth grade students of SDN 2 Ulapato A can be enhanced through cooperative learning model of type STAD (Student Teams-Achievement Division)?. The purpose of this study was to obtain a picture of the increasing ability to solve addition and subtraction word problems common fractions through cooperative learning model type STAD (Student Teams-Achievment Division) in the fourth grade students of SDN 2 Ulapato A Kecamatan Telaga Biru.
This research method is action research methods class (Classroom Action Research) is the subject of study is the fourth-grade students of SDN 2 Ulapato A Kecamataan Telaga Biru in second semester 2011/2012 the number of students 20 people, 12 men and 8 women. I carried out during the first cycle of meetings and conducted a second cycle time of the meeting. The results of research showed no increase that this is evidenced by the results of study on every cycle. In the first cycle of 20 people all number of students there were 12 students who received grades 65 and above, or as much as 60%. In the second cycle that is already experiencing an increase to 18 students or 90%. As such, it has met the performance indicators in this research that if the learning outcomes of students in the learning process about the ability to solve addition and subtraction word problems by applying common fractions cooperative learning model of type STAD (Student Teams-Achievment Division) reached 85% in value persontase 65 and above, then the research is successful.
From these results it can be concluded that by applying the model of cooperative learning type STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) the ability to solve addition and subtraction word problems fractions usual subjects of Mathematics at the fourth grade students of SDN 2 Ulapato A Kecamatan Telaga Biru.
