Permasalahan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah “Apakah pemahaman siswa
kelas IV SDN 2 Bongomeme terhadap materi perkembangan teknologi komunikasi
dapat ditingkatkan melalui penggunaan model think pair share?”. Sedangkan tujuan
penelitian ini adalahuntuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa kelas IV SDN 2
Bongomeme terhadap materi perkembangan teknologi komunikasi dapat
ditingkatkan melalui penggunaan model think pair share.
Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Dengan
teknik pengumpulan data observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang
digunakan adalah analisis persentase. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, tiap
siklus terdiri dari tahap awal, tahap pelaksanaan tindakan, tahap pemantauan dan
evaluasi.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Think Pair Share dapat
digunakan sebagai salah satu model pembelajaran IPS karena meningkatkan
pemahaman siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS khususnya pada materi perkembangan
teknologi di kelas IV SDN 2 Bongomeme Kecamatan Bongomeme Kabupaten
Gorontalo. Tingkat pemahaman siswa dalam mata pelajaran IPS pada tahap
observasi awal hanya 10 siswa (41.67%) yang menunjukkan pemahaman yang tinggi.
Padasiklus I tingkat pemahaman siswa meningkat menjadi 16 siswa (66.67%).
Padasiklus II sebanyak 21 siswa (87.50%) yang memiliki pemahaman tinggi
terhadap materi perkembangan teknologi komunikasi. Hipotesis penelitian yang
menyatakan “melalui Model Think Pair Share maka hasil belajar siswa pada materi
perkembangan teknologi kominikasi di kelas IV SDN 2 Bongomeme Kecamatan
Bongomeme Kabupaten Gorontalo akan meningkat” dapatditerima.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman siswa
terhadap materi Perkembangan teknologi komunikasi dapat ditingkatkan melalui
melalui Model Think Pair Share.

The problems examined in this study is "What is the understanding of fourth grade
students of SDN 2 Bongomeme to the material development of communication
technology can be improved through the use of models share Pair think". While the
purpose of this study was to improve understanding of fourth grade students of SDN
2 Bongomeme to the material development of communication technology can be
improved through the use of models share Pair think.
The method used in this research is descriptive method. With observational data
collection techniques and documentation. Data analysis technique used is the analysis
of the percentage. The experiment was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting
of the initial stage, the stage of implementation actions, monitoring and evaluation
stage.
The results showed that the learning model Think Pair Share can be used as a
learning model for improving the understanding of social studies students on social
studies material in particular on the development of technology in the fourth grade
Elementary School District 2 BongomemeBongomemeGorontalo regency. Level of
understanding of students in social studies at the stage of preliminary observations
only 10 students (41.67%) which showed a high understanding. I cycle on the level of
understanding of students increased to 16 students (66.67%). In the second cycle as
many as 21 students (87.50%) having a high understanding of the material
komunikasi. Hipotesis technology development research that states "through Think
Pair Share model the learning outcomes of students in the development of material
technology in the class IV kominikasi SDN 2 Bongomeme District
BongomemeGorontalo District will increases "acceptable.
Based on these results we can conclude that students' understanding of the material
development of communication technology can be improved through via Think Pair
Share Model.
