Sitty Nurjana Paputungan. 2015. Deskripsi penggunaan metode demonstrasi dalam pembelajaran operasi hitung campuran pada siswa kelas IV SDN 01 Talaga Kabupaten Gorontalo. Berdasarkan rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah "bagaimana deskripsi penggunaan metode demonstrasi dalam pembelajaran operasi hitung campuran pada siswa kelas IV SDN 01 Talaga Kabupaten Gorontalo?". Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan metode demonstrasi dalam pembelajaran operasi hitung campuran pada siswa kelas IV SDN 01 Telaga Kabupaten Gorontalo. Adapun subjek penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas IV SDN 01 Talaga Kabupaten Gorontalo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian kualitatif yaitu merupakan penelitian yang menggambarkan suatu keadaan yang diteliti atau diamati. Dengan kata lain, penelitian ini tidak menggunakan perhitungan, melainkan suatu prosedur yang dihasilkan dari data deskriptif berupa data tulis atau data lisan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, wawancara dan pengamatan proses pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan pada hari senin 11 mei 2015, peneliti mengamati bahwa penggunaan metode demonstrasi pada pembelajaran matematika pada meteri operasi hitung campuran terlihat baik, dimulai dari tahap penyampaian tujuan pembelajaran sampai dengan kegiatan mengakhiri pembelajaran sudah terlaksana dengan baik. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode demonstrasi dalam pembelajaran operasi hitung campuran belum terlihat baik.

Based on the formulation of the problem in this research is how the application of the method of use descriptions demonstration method in teaching arithmetic operations mixture in the fourth grade students of SDN 01 Talaga Gorontalo district. This study aimed to describe the use of demonstration method in teaching arithmetic operations mixture in the fourth grade students of SDN 01 Telaga Gorontalo Regency The subjects of this study were teachers and students of class IV SDN 01 Talaga Gorontalo district. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research methods. Qualitative research is a research that describes a state of the studied or observed. In other words, this study did not use a calculation, but rather a procedure resulting from descriptive data in the form of a data write or data orally. Based on observations, interviews and observations of the learning process that is carried out on Monday, 11 May 2015, researchers observed that the use of methods of demonstration in mathematics at meteri mixture arithmetic operation has not done well, starting from the delivery phase of the learning objectives to terminate the activities of the learning has not done well. It can be concluded that the use of demonstration method in teaching arithmetic operations mixture has not done well because it does not correspond to the steps of the methods demonstration.
