Pd, M.Pd. Problems in the study "Is the ability to write reports observations through a contextual approach in class V SDN Pohuwato Pohuwato can be improved". The purpose of this research is to improve the ability to write reports observations through a contextual approach in class V SDN Pohuwato. The method used in this study is action research using qualitative analysis and quantitative data which is intended as an input and information useful for the development of Indonesian language learning in particular writing observation reports through contextual approach. Characteristics of the subjects in this study were all students of class V were about 40 people, including 20 men and 20 women. From the results of the implementation of the action in the first cycle of the four aspects of the observed, only 21 people or 52.5% of students who are able, 14 students or 35% of people who are less able, and 5 people or 12.5% of students who can not afford. While in the second cycle, 36 students or 90% were capable of, 3 people or 7.5% of students who are less able and 1 or 2.5% of students who can not afford. It can be concluded that the ability of students to write a report observations through a contextual approach in class V SDN Pohuwato Pohuwato districts can increase and reach the standards set completeness.
