Rumusan masalah adalah Bagaimana minat siswa dalam mempelajari IPA di SDN 2, SDN 6, SDN 7, SDN 15 Kecamatan Kota Barat Kota Gorontalo? Bagaimana motivasi siswa dalam mempelajari IPA di SDN 2, SDN 6, SDN 7, SDN 15 Kecamatan Kota Barat Kota Gorontalo? Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan minat siswa dalam mempelajari IPA di SDN 2, SDN 6, SDN 7, SDN 15 Kecamatan Kota Barat Kota Gorontalo, dan minat siswa dalam mempelajari IPA di SDN 2, SDN 6, SDN 7, SDN 15 Kecamatan Kota Barat Kota Gorontalo. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif yang membahas mengenai deskripsi minat dan motivasi siswa dalam mempelajari IPA.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa minat siswa di SDN 2 sebagian besar berada pada kategori rendah 7 siswa atau 46,67%, SDN 6 sebagian besar berada pada kategori kategori tinggi 10 siswa atau 43,48%, SDN 7 sebagian besar berada pada kategori rendah 18 siswa atau 50,00%, SDN 15 sebagian besar berada pada kategori rendah 10 siswa atau 45,45%. Sedangkan motivasi siswa di SDN 2 sebagian besar berada pada kategori rendah 8 siswa atau 53,33%, SDN 6 sebagian besar berada pada kategori tinggi 10 siswa atau 43,48%, SDN 7 sebagian besar berada pada kategori rendah 19 siswa atau 52,78%, SDN 15 sebagian besar berada pada kategori rendah 11 siswa atau 50,00%. Jadi dapat di lihat minat dan motivasi belajar siswa di SDN 2 Kota Barat, SDN 6 Kota Barat, SDN 7 Kota Barat, SDN 15 Kota Barat, hanya satu sekolah minat dan motivasinya tinggi yaitu SDN 6 Kota Barat.

The problem solving of this research is how the students' interest and motivation in studyng Natural Science at Elementary School SDN 2, SDN 6, SDN 7, SDN 15, Kota Barat District, Gorontalo are. The goal of this research is to describe students' interest and motivation in studyng Natural Science. The methoad used for this research is quantitative that discusses the description of interest and motivation of students in studying the science.
This research shows the various results of students' interest in each school. In SDN 2 is mostly low with 7 students or 46,67%. In SDN 6 is in the high category of 10 students or 43,48%, SDN 7 is in the low category of 18 students or 50,00% and in SDN 15 is also in the lo category of 10 students or 45,45%. On the other hand, the motivation of students in SDN 2 is in the low category of 8 students or 53,33%, and the high category is in SDN 6 of 10 students or 43,48%, SDN 7 result the same that is in low category 19 students or 52,78%, SDN 15 is also in low category of 11 students or 50,00%. Therefore, it can be conclude that, from all the schools as the objects of this research, only one school that has a high percentage of students' interest and motivation, that is SDN 6 Kota Bara
