Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah penerapan strategi pembelajaran aktif index card match pada mata pelajaran PKn di Kelas III SDN 1 Limboto Kabupaten Gorontalo?. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Proses pengumpulan data dimulai pada Februari 2018 sampai minggu kedua Maret 2018.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi pembelajaran Index Card Match pada mata pelajaran PKn di Kelas III SDN 1 Limboto tergolong baik. Guru telah menerapkan strategi Index Card Match yang sesuai dengan prosedur pembelajaran, sehingga siswa merasa senang dan aktif mengikuti proses pembelajaran di dalam kelas. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran aktif sangat ditentukan oleh kompetensi guru dalam memelih tehnik tertentu (Index Card Match) yang relevan dengan mata pelajaran dan tema-tema yang diajarkan.

This research is intended to determine the application of Active Learning Strategy of Index Card Match in Civics Education Subject at Grade III Elementary School SDN 1 Limboto, Gorontalo Regency. This study employed a qualitative method and collected the data from observation, interview, and documentation. The data collection was started from February 2018 to the second week of March 2018.
The result indicates that the application of Index Card Match in Civics Education subject in the site area is in a good category. Teacher has implemented this strategy as in the learning procedures, so that students are excited and actively involved in the learning process. This confirms that teacher's competence in selecting a particular technique (Index Card Match) relevant to the taught subjects and topics strongly determines the application of active learning.
