Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode eksperimen terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA di kelas IV SDN 4 Telaga Kabupaten Gorontalo. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV di SDN 4 Telaga Kabupaten Gorontalo dengan jumlah 21 orang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan desain penelitian kuantitatif metode eksperimen dengan rancangan the one group pretest-posttest design. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara Sampel Jenuh, dimana semua populasi dijadikan sampel dengan jumlah 21 sampel .
Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini di uji dengan menggunakan Uji t, sehingga dalam penelitian ini diperoleh harga t_hitung sebesar 9,73. Sedang dari daftar distribusi t pada taraf nyata 5% diperoleh t_0,95 (20) = 1,72. Ternyata harga t_hitung memperoleh harga lain, atau harga t_hitung telah berada di luar daerah penerimaan H_0, sehingga dapat dikatakan H_0 ditolak dan menerima H_1. Kesimpulanya metode eksperimen berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar siswa.

This study is intended to explore the effect of experimental method on students' learning motivation in natural sciences subject; it was conducted at SDN 4 Telaga, Gorontalo Regency. This quantitative study involved 21 students at grade IV as the research population. Furthermore, it applied one group pretest-posttest design. Saturation sampling was employed by which all of the populations were selected as the sample.
The hypothesis in this study was examined by using t-test that the result of tcount is 9.73. In addition, the result of t-distribution at significance level obtains the value t0.95 (20) = 1.72. It is revealed that the value of tcount is different, meaning that it is not in the H0 area; in other words, the H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. In conclusion, the experimental method gives an impact on the students' learning motivation.
