Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah 1) Bagaimana pengaruh membaca pemahaman terhadap hasil belajar menulis deskriptif siswa di kelas V SDN 1 Kota Barat Kota Gorontalo? Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh membaca pemahaman terhadap hasil belajar menulis deskriptif siswa di kelas V SDN 1 Kota Barat Kota Gorontalo.
Hasil uji normalitas baik variabel X dan variabel Y menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal. Selanjutnya untuk model persamaan regresi diperoleh adalah Y = 8.050 + 1.062X. Untuk hasil perhitungan koefisien korelasi menunjukkan bahwa (r) = 0.890. Adapun hasil perhitungan koefisien determinasi menunjukkan r2= 0.793. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai thitung sebesar 9.785 dan sig. 0.00 < 0.05, dengan demikian Ho ditolak yang berarti koefisien membaca pemahaman terhadap hasil belajar menulis deskriptif siswa signifikan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara membaca pemahaman dengan hasil belajar menulis deskriptif siswa di kelas V SD Negeri 1 kota Barat Kota Gorontalo

The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of reading comprehension on the Descriptive learning outcomes of students at grade V of Elementary School SDN 1 Kota Barat, Gorontalo, which is generated from the problem of the study. This Type of study employed a regression research method; then, the data were Collected with test, observation, and documentation techniques; the data were Further analyzed by applying SPSS 16 for window software, with Kolmogorov Smirnov calculations model and Shapiro Wilks.
The results of the normality test for both the X and Y variables indicated that the Data were normally distributed. Furthermore, for the regression equation model, Y = 8.050 + 1.062X. The calculation of the correlation coefficient showed that (r) = 0.890. As for the calculation of the coefficient of determination showed (r2) = 0.793. The results of the hypothesis test indicated that the value of tcount was 9,785 and sig. 0.00
