Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah ..."apakah melalui model Direct Instruction kemampuan siswa membuat bingkai dikelas V SDN 13 Telaga Biru Kabupaten Gorontalo meningkat?. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa membuat bingkai melalui model DIRECT INSTRUCTION di kelas V SDN 13 Telaga Biru Kabupaten Gorontalo.
Penelitian ini merupakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap, yakni perencanaan, pelaksanaan/tindakan, pemantauan dan refleksi dalam dua kali pertemuan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa melalui penerapan model DIRECT INSTRUCTION dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membuat bingkai pada siswa di kelas V SDN 13 Telaga Biru Kabupaten Gorontalo tahun 2018 / 2019. Hal tersebut ditunjukan dengan nilai kemampuan siswa membuat bingkai pada kondisi awal 12% kemudian siklus I Pertemuan 1 menjadi 32% setelah diberikan tindakan perbaikan siklus I pertemuan 2 meningkat menjadi 52% sedangkan pada siklus II pertemuan 3 nilai yang dicapai siswa meningkat sebesar 60% dan pada pertemuan 4 menjadi 92%. Jadi kemampuan membuat bingkai melalui model DIRECT INSTRUCTION pada siswa kelas V SDN 13Telaga Biru Kabupaten Gorontalo meningkat.

The objective of this research is to find out whether or not the implementation of DIRECT INSTRUCTION model improves grade V students ability in creating a photo frame. It is generated from the problem statement of research. This research was conducted at Elementary School SDN 13 Telaga Biru, Gorontalo Regency.
This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles with four phases, i.e. planning, treatment, observation, and reflection in each cycle; these phases were in two meetings. The results reveal that the implementation of DIRECT INSTRUCTION model improves grade V students ability in creating a photo frame. This is based on the increase in the percentage of the students ability in creating the frame. The percentage of the ability prior to the treatment is 12%, and it is later increased to 32% after the treatment in cycle I, meeting I. This percentage is further increased to 52%, 60% and 92% after the treatment in cycle I meeting 2, cycle II meeting 3 and cycle II meeting 4 respectively. These results confirm the significance of DIRECT INSTRUCTION model in improving the students ability in creating a photo frame.
