Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah Bagaimanakah Penerapan Model Snowball Throwing Dalam Membaca Teks Pada Siswa Kelas III di SDN 106 Kota Utara. Tujuan penelitian adalah Penerapan Model Snowball Throwing Dalam Membaca Teks Pada Siswa Di kelas III SDN 106 Kota Utara Kota Gorontalo. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 25 siswa yakni dalam aspek penerapan model Snowball Throwing terdapat 14 siswa yang baik atau 56%, Siswa yang cukup baik berjumlah 10 siswa atau 40% dan siswa yang kurang baik berjumlah 1 siswa atau 4%. Pada aspek lafal terdapat 17 siswa yang baik atau 68 %, Siswa yang cukup baik berjumlah 8 siswa atau 32 %, dan tidak terdapat siswa yang kurang baik. Pada aspek intonasi terdapat 15 siswa yang baik atau 60 %, Siswa yang cukup baik berjumlah 9 siswa atau 36 % dan siswa yang kurang baik berjumlah 1 siswa atau 4 %. Pada aspek tanda baca terdapat 3 siswa yang baik atau 12 %, Siswa yang cukup baik berjumlah 13 siswa atau 52 % dan siswa yang kurang baik berjumlah 9 siswa atau 36 %. Jadi siswa yang baik untuk membaca teks berjumlah 14 orang atau 56% siswa yang cukup baik membaca teks masih berjumlah 10 orang atau 40% dan siswa kurang baik membaca teks berjumlah 1 orang atau 4%.

The problem statement of this study is how the application of the Snowball Throwing Model in Reading Texts of grade III Students of Junior High School SDN 106 Kota Utara with the purpose is the application of Snowball Throwing Models to students in the study area. The type of this study is a qualitative approach.
The results showed in several aspects; there were 25 students in the aspect of applying the Snowball Throwing model, there were 14 competent students or 56% students, 10 students or 40% less competent 1 student or 4% incompetent. In the pronunciation aspect, there are 17 students who were capable or 68%, 8 students or 32% less capable. The intonation aspect is 15 students who were capable or 60%, less capable are 9 students or 36% and students who were not able were 1 student or 4%. Punctuation aspect is 3 students who are capable or 12%, underprivileged students are 13 or 52% and inable are 9 students or 36%. Thus, students who were able to read the text amounted to 14 people (56%) students who were less able to read the text still amounted to 10 people (40%) and could not read the number of texts up to 1 person (4%).
