Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah terdapat pengaruh kemampuan membaca puisi siswa kelas V SDN 10 Tilango Kecamatan Tilango Kabupaten Gorontalo sebelum dan sesudah digunakan media video? Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh media video terhadap kemampuan membaca puisi siswa kelas V SDN 10 Tilango Kecamatan Tilango Kabupaten Gorontalo. Model yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif metode eksperimen dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest design. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu tes (pretest dan posttest) sedangkan observasi dan dokumentasi adalah penunjang. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V sebanyak 17 siswa.
Hasil perolehan nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 37,00 dan nilai rata-rata posttest sebesar 73,94. Hasil penelitian tersebut diperkuat dengan hasil uji t yang menyebutkan bahwa thitung > ttabel yaitu 17,31 > 2,12 pada taraf 0,05. Sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dalam hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media video terhadap kemampuan membaca puisi siswa kelas V SDN 10 Tilango Kecamatan Tilango Kabupaten Gorontalo

The problem statement of this study is whether or not there is an influence on the poetry reading ability of grade V students of Elementary School SDN 10 Tilango, Tilango Sub-district, Gorontalo District before and after the application of video media. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of video media on poetry reading ability in the study area. This quantitative research employs experimental method with the design of one group pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques used were tests (pretest and posttest) while observation and documentation as the supporting instruments. Further, it involved 17 students of grade as the sample of the research.
The results of this study are: the average pretest score was 37.00, and the posttest average score was 73.94. The results are reinforced by the t-test result which stated that t count> t table was 17.31> 2.12 at the level of 0.05. Thus, H0 was rejected,and Ha was accepted. In this case, it can be concluded that the results of this study indicated that there is an Effect of video media on the poetry reading ability of fifth grade V students of Elementary School SDN 10 Tilango, Tilango sub-district, Gorontalo District.
