Permasalahan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah: "Apakah melalui metode Two Stay Two Stray, kemampuan menyimak isi puisi siswa kelas IV SDN 90 Sipatana Kota Gorontalo dapat ditingkatkan?" Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak isi puisi pada siswa kelas IV SDN 90 Sipatana melalui metode Two Stay Two Stray. Jenis metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan dalam 2 siklus.
Hasil penelitian tindakan kelas pada observasi awal diperoleh data, dari 20 orang siswa hanya 5 orang siswa (25%) yang dapat dikatakan mampu dalam kemampuan menyimak isi puisi. Sedangkan pada siklus I diperoleh data bahwa tidak ada siswa yang masuk kategori sangat mampu maupun mampu, 5 siswa atau 25% masuk kategori kurang mampu, dan 15 siswa atau 75% masuk dalam kategori tidak mampu. Pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 17 orang siswa (85%) yang terbagi atas dua kategori yaitu kategori sangat mampu oleh 11 siswa atau 55% dan kategori mampu oleh 6 siswa atau 30%. Dari hasil penelitian dan pembahasan yang dilakukan, maka peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa kelas IV SDN 90 Sipatana Kota Gorontalo meningkat.

This research examines wheather or not the implementation of Two Stay Two Stray method can improve grade IV students' ability in listening to poetry. This research was conducted at Elementary School SDN 90 Sipatana, Gorontalo City. It is aimed at improving grade IV students' ability in listening to poetry through the method above in the research site. furthermore, this classroom action research was carried out in two cycles.
The preliminary observation shows that only five (25%) out of 20 students who are good at listening to poetry. Moreover, the result of cycle I indicate that none of the students is in highly able or able category. There are five students (25%) and 15 students (75%) categorized in poor and unable category respectively. However, there is a significant improvement regarding the students' ability in cycle II in which 17 students (85%) show their development. It is revealed that 11 students (55%) and 6 students (30%) are in highly able and able category respectively. In conclusion, the implementation Two Stay Two Stray method can improve the students' skill in listening to poetry.
