Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah apakah penerapan model picture and picture dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS di kelas IV SDN 19 Dungingi Kota Gorontalo.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas IV SDN 19 Dungingi Kota Gorontalo.
Dalam pencapaian tujuan di atas, maka digunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus penelitian. Tekhnik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah observasi, wawancara, tes dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan cara mereduksi data, memaparkan data, dan menarik kesimpulan.
Hasil penelitian menunujukan bahwa dengan model picture and picture terjadi suasana pembelajaran yang menyenangkan sehingga hasil belajar siswa meningkat, yaitu dari hasil siklus I ke siklus II terdapat peningkatan. Pada siklus I jumlah siswa yang mendapat nilai tuntas adalah 20 siswa atau 62,50%, nilai tidak tuntas pada siklus I ada 12 siswa atau 37,50%. Sedangkan pada pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan nilai tuntas yaitu menjadi 27 siswa atau 84,40%, terjadi peningkatan 22,10%. Disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran picture and picture dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Problem statement of this research was whether or not the implementation of picture and picture model can improve students������ learning outcome at Social Science subject at grade IV of SDN 19 Dungingi of Gorontalo City.
The research objective was to improve students������ learning outcome at Social Science subject at grade IV of SDN 19 Dungingi of Gorontalo City.
To achieve the previous objective, the research applied a quantitative and qualitative approach with classroom action research as its type and conducted in two cycles of research. The technique of data collection used observation, interview, test, and documentation. The data were analyzed by reducing data, displaying data, and drawing a conclusion.
The finding of research showed that picture and picture model had created a fun learning situation so that the students������ learning outcome improved from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle I, there was 20 students or 62,50% that achieved a complete mark whereas 12 students or 37,50% achieved incomplete mark. In addition, there was an improvement of complete mark in cycle II to be 27 students or 84,40% or 22,10% improvement. The research concluded that the picture and picture learning model could improve students������ learning outcome.
