Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah kemampuan menghitung perkalian bilangan cacah pada siswa kelas III SDN 21 Limboto Kabupaten Gorontalo dapat ditingkatkan melalui media congklak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menghitung perkalian bilangan cacah melalui media congklak pada siswa kelas III SDN 21 Limboto Kabupaten Gorontalo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK).
Hasil penelitian pada pembelajaran siklus I, diperoleh data dari 27 siswa kelas III yang mampu menghitung perkalian sebanyak 10 siswa atau 37% dengan memperoleh nilai 75 keatas dan masih ada 17 siswa atau 59% yang kurang mampu dengan perolehan nilai dibawah 75. Hasil diperbaiki belum mencapai indikator yang diharapkan yakni 75%. Dan pada pembelajaran siklus II, diperoleh data dari 27 siswa kelas III yang mampu menghitung perkalian dengan perolehan nilai 75 keatas yakni 22 siswa atau 81% dan 5 siswa atau 18% yang kurang mampu dengan perolehan nilai dibawah 70. Dengan demikian maka disimpulkan bahwa melalui media congklak kemampuan menghitung perkalian pada siswa kelas III SDN 21 Limboto Kabupaten Gorontalo Meningkat.

The research problem is whether or not Congklak media can improve students' ability on calculating the multiplication of the whole number at grade III of SDN (Elementary School) of 21 Limboto, Gorontalo District. It aims to improve students' ability on calculating the multiplication of the whole number through Congklak media at grade III of SDN (Elementary School) of 21 Limboto, Gorontalo District. It is a classroom action research.
The results of cycle I are: out of 27 students in grade III, there are 10 students or 37% who obtain scores of above 75 while 17 students or 59% who obtain low scores of below 75. Since the result has not reached the expected indicator of 75%, the cycle is continued to cycle II. In cycle II, out of 27 students, there are 22 students or 81% who obtain scores above 75 while 5 students or 18% who obtain low scores of below 70. The conclusion is Congklak media can improve students' ability on calculating the multiplication of the whole number at grade III of SDN (Elementary School) of 21 Limboto, Gorontalo District.
