Abstrak

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah melalui pendekatan matematika realistik (PMR) pemahaman konsep pecahan biasa pada siswa kelas II SDN 3 Telaga Kabupaten Gorontalo dapat meningkat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep pecahan biasa melalui pendekatan matematika realistik (PMR) pada siswa kelas II SDN 3 Telaga Kabupaten Gorontalo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK).
Hasil penelitian pada pembelajaran siklus I, diperoleh data bahwa dari 30 siswa kelas II yang paham konsep pecahan biasa sebanyak 16 siswa atau 53% dengan memperoleh nilai 70 keatas dan pada pembelajaran siklus II diperoleh data dari 30 siswa kelas II yang paham konsep pecahan biasa sebanyak 26 siswa atau 87% dengan memperoleh nilai 70 keatas. Dengan demikian maka disimpulkan bahwa melalui pendekatan matematika realistik (PMR) pemahaman konsep pecahan biasa pada siswa kelas II SDN 3 Telaga Kabupaten Gorontalo meningkat.

The problem in this study is whether through the realistic mathematics approach (PMR) the understanding of the concept of ordinary fractions in grade II students of SDN 3 Telaga, Gorontalo District can improve. The purpose of this study was to improve understanding of the concept of ordinary fractions through a realistic mathematics approach (PMR) in grade II students of SDN 3 Telaga, Gorontalo District. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK).
The results of research in cycle I learning, obtained data that from 30 class II students who understand ordinary concepts as many as 16 students or 53% with a value of 70 and above and in cycle II learning data obtained from 30 class II students who understand the concept of ordinary fractions 26 students or 87 % by obtaining a value of 70 and above. Thus, it is concluded that the realistic mathematics approach (PMR) in understanding the concept of ordinary fractions in grade II SDN 3 Telaga students in Gorontalo District has increased.
