Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development). Rancangan pengembangan dilakukan berdasarkan model pengembangan perangkat 4-D (Four-D) yang dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan, terdiri dari tahap pendefinisian (Define), perancangan (Design), dan pengembangan (Develop). Rumusan masalah penelitian ini yaitu, 1) Bagaimana kondisi real model pembelajaran IPA di kelas V Sekolah Dasar, 2) Bagaimana model konseptual pembelajaran IPA berbasis permainan tradisional tulawota yang dikembangkan, dan 3) Bagaimana kelayakan model konseptual pembelajaran IPA berbasis permainan tradisional tulawota di kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan penilaian produk. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Gorontalo dengan mengambil sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas V SDN 3 Telaga yang berjumlah 24 siswa. Produk yang dihasilkan dari penelitian ini adalah panduan model konsepual pembelajaran IPA berbasis permaianan tradisional Tulawota di kelas V sekolah dasar dengan hasil validasi yang diperoleh yaitu untuk validasi ahli bahasa mendapatkan persentase skor 88,63%, validasi ahli model mendapatkan persentase skor 95,45% dan validasi ahli praktisi mendapatkan persentase skor 95,45%, dengan rata-rata skor yang diperoleh yaitu 93,18% untuk kriteria kevalidan "Sangat valid" dan dapat diujicobakan dengan revisi kecil.

This research is a type of research development (Research and Development). The development design was carried out based on the 4-D (Four-D) device development model developed by Thiagarajan, consisting of the defining (Define), design and development (Develop) stages. The formulations of the research problems are, 1) What is the real condition of the science learning model in grade V elementary schools, 2) How is the conceptual model of learning science based on the traditional tulawota game being developed, and 3) How is the feasibility of the conceptual model of learning science based on traditional games of tulawota in class V Primary school. Data collection is obtained through observation, interviews, documentation and product assessment. This research was conducted in Gorontalo District by taking research samples, namely students of class V SDN 3 Telaga, totaling 24 students. The product produced from this study is a guide to the conceptual model of learning science based on traditional Tulawota games in grade V elementary schools with the validation results obtained, namely the validation of linguists getting a score of 88.63%, expert model validation getting a score percentage of 95.45% and validation expert practitioners get a percentage score of 95.45%, with the average score obtained is 93.18% for the validity criteria "Very valid" and can be tested with minor revisions.
