Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: "Apakah dengan menggunakan media gambar kemampuan siswa menulis puisi di kelas III SDN 22 Limboto Kecamatan Limboto Kabupaten Gorontalo dapat ditingkatkan?. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis puisi melalui gambar.Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah dengan teknik observasi dan tes kemampuan siswa. Teknik analisis data penelitian menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan analisis kuantitatif deskriptif persentase.
Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari 2 siklus. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal, dari 21 siswa yang sudah mampu menulis puisi sebanyak 4 orang atau 19% dan yang belum mampu sebanyak 17 orang atau 81%. Pada tindakan siklus I meningkat menjadi 7 orang yang mampu dalam menulis puisi atau 33,3%, dan pada siklus II siswa yang telah mampu menulis puisi sebanyak 16 orang atau 77% sedangkan yang belum mampu dalam menulis puisi sebanyak 5 orang atau 23%.
Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan gambar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas III SDN 22 Limboto Kecamatan Limboto Kabupaten Gorontalo dalam menulis puisi.

The formulation of the problem in this study is: "Can using the media for drawing the ability of students write poetry in class III SDN 22 Limboto, Limboto District, Gorontalo Regency be improved?". The purpose of this study is to improve students' ability to write poetry through images. The technique used in data collection is observation techniques and student ability tests. Research data analysis techniques using qualitative analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis of percentages.
This research is a classroom action research study consisting of 2 cycles. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative. Based on preliminary observations, out of 21 students who have been able to write poetry as many as 4 people or 19% and who have not been able to as many as 17 people or 81%. In the first cycle of action increased to 7 people who are able to write poetry or 33.3%, and in the second cycle students who have been able to write poetry as many as 16 people or 77% while those who have not been able to write poetry as many as 5 people or 23%.
Thus it can be concluded that learning by using pictures can improve the ability of Grade III students of SDN 22 Limboto, Limboto District, Gorontalo Regency in writing poetry.
