This research aims to investigate children's self confidence in telling a story in group B of TK Ki Hajar Dewantara sub-district of Dungingi city of Gorontalo. Problem statement of this research is how children's self confidence in telling a story is. This is a descriptive qualitative research in which its data are collected trough observation and documentation. Based on research finding, several conclusions are made as follow: based on aspect of behavior, 11 children out of 18 have had self confidence in telling a story; then based on aspect of emotion, 10 children are able and; based on aspect of spiritual, 10 children have shown their self confidence in telling a story. Children's self confidence in telling a story is lack of application, the learning process seems lack of using theme which correlated to self-confidence of children in telling a story thus several children seem to be unconfident.
Based on research findings, it suggests that teachers require to always develop children's self-confidence particularly in telling a story case and parents should support due to it will ignite children's spirit as well as accustom children to show their ability.
