ABSTRACTWawin Karim. 2013. Teachers Roles in Improving Students Learning Quality on Civics Subject at SMK Gotong Royong. This research was conducted at SMK Gotong Royong Telaga of Telaga Subdistrict, District of Gorontalo. It was supervised by Drs. R.O.W. Kaunang, M.Pd as the principal supervisor and Asmun W. Universitas Negeri Gorontalo.The research aimed to find out and analyze the teachers roles in improving students learning quality on Civics subject at SMK Gotong Royong and to find out and analyze the efforts in improving students learning quality on Civics subject at SMK Gotong Royong.The research applied qualitative method with phenomenological approach. In this case, the researcher tried to understand the meaning of a phenomenon related to common people in certain situation and it was expected to give an overview systematically, factually, and accurately of a fact of a certain situation. Based on the description of the result, it could be concluded that the teachers roles in improving students learning quality on Civics subject at SMK Gotong Royong as the facilitators, organizers, mediators, initiators, and evaluators were not carrying out maximally.Besides, teachers efforts in improving the learning quatility of students on Civics subject at SMK Gotong Royong, which created consistency for disciplinary purposes, education and training in employement, and enthusiasm or motivationto work, had been showed to improve teachers role.Keywords: Teachers Role, Students Learning Quality, Civics Subject
