This research was conducted with problem statements ..."how is the ability of Grade VIII students of Junior High School SMPN 1 Telaga of 2017-2018 Academic Year to find important and supporting information in the review text?. The underlying theories of this research were Indonesian language learning in junior high school, text review, the ability to identify information in review text, and evaluation of students learning outcomes. This qualitative descriptive research used students learning outcomes in identifying important and supporting information in the review text as the data. The data obtained were analyzed by copying observational data, making narration, analyzing, and concluding the results of the study.
The results show that (1) the ability to identify important information in the review text on structure aspects has a very appropriate category of 13 students or 65%, the appropriate category of rwo students or 10%, and the quite appropriate category of five students or 25%; (2) the ability to identify supporting information in the review text on aspects of the advantages and disadvantages of the review text has a very appropriate category of 11 students or 55%, the appropriate category of two students or 10%, the quite appropriate category of three students or 15%, the less appropriate category three students or 15%, and the not appropriate category of one student or 5%; (3) the overall results of the ability to identify information in the review text on Grade VIII students in the research site in all aspects are that 77.4% of the 20 students are in the good category. Accordingly, it concludes that students have been able to identify information in review text; however, the teachers need to do a structured evaluation way, thus it can be a measurement in making decisions on students' ability to identify information in text review.

Permasalahan Bagaimanakah kemampuan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Telaga tahun ajaran 2017/2018 menemukan informasi penting dalam teks ulasan? dan Bagaimanakah kemampuan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Telaga tahun ajaran 2017/2018 menemukan informasi pendukung dalam teks ulasan?
Teori yang melandasi penelitian ini yaitu teori pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP, teks ulasan, kemampuan mengidentifikasi informasi dalam teks ulasan, dan evaluasi hasil belajar peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar peserta didik mengidentifikasi informasi penting dalam teks ulasan dan informasi pendukung dalam teks ulasan . Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan cara menyalin data hasil observasi, membuat narasi, menganalisis, serta menyimpulkan hasil penelitian.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kemampuan mengidentifikasi informasi penting dalam teks ulasan pada aspek struktur teks ulasan memiliki kategori sangat tepat 13 orang atau 65%, kategori tepat 2 orang atau 10%, kategori cukup tepat 5 orang atau 25%. (2) kemampuan siswa mengidentifikasi informasi pendukung dalam teks ulasan pada aspek kelebihan dan kekurangan teks ulasan yang memiliki kategori baik sangat tepat 11 orang atau 55%. Kategori tepat 2 orang atau 10%, kategori cukup tepat 3 orang atau 15%, kategori kurang tepat 3 orang atau 15%, dan kategori tidak tepat 1 orang atau 5%. (3)hasil secara keselurun kemamuan mengidentifikasi informasi dalam teks ulasan pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Telaga pada seluruh aspek, adalah 77,4% dari 20 peserta didik dengan kategori baik.
Simpulan: kemampuan mengidentifikasi informasi dalam teks ulasan pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Telaga pada dasarnya telah telah mampu akan tetapi diperlukan cara guru melakukan evaluasi yang terstruktur agar dapat menjadi tolak ukur dalam mengambil keputusan terhadap kemampuan siswa mengidentifikasi informasi dalam teks ulasan.
