Abstrak
Writing is a part of language skills, which must be taught effectively by teacher to the students in classroom, specifically in narrative text. Meanwhile, the text should be learned through a meaningful activity. One kind of the effective activity is by using cartoon film as a media. This research is to find out the students’ ability in writing narrative by using cartoon film as the objective of research. The samples of this research are 24 students. The design used on this research is experimental design, which pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The instrument of collecting the data is an easy test. The result of this research finds that the students’ ability in writing narrative can be developed by using cartoon film. It is proven by the result of post test is higher than pre test. Based on the hypothesis analysis is Ho will be rejected if Ho = t count > t list and Hi will be rejected if Hi = t count < t list with the level significance is ? = 0, 05. Finally, this research shows that the hypothesis is received. I hope this research will be help for other researcher in conducting a research and it can apply this media in the other skills.
