ABSTRACT Atmawati, Ahmad. 2013. A Descriptive . Study of Learning in Past Continuous Tense by lucky Number Game Skripsi. English Department. Letter and Culture Faculty. Gorontalo State University. Advisor Dr. Suleman Bouti, M.Hum and Nurlaila Husain, S.S, M.Pd. The objective of this research is to describe whether the Lucky Number Game can help the students in learning past continuous tense.Subjects of this research are the English Teacher and the eleven grade students in SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo.consist of 25 students, and The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The result of this research shows that most of participants are motivated by the application of the lucky number game and they agree that the role playing can improve their speaking. The students disagree who the statement that they will be active in learning process when using game. By considering the result of the students’ perspective,and I hopes that the teachers to pay attention about the teaching strategy and the students are expected to learn more. Key Word: Descriptive, Past Continuous Tense, Lucky Number Game.
