Abstrak

ABSTRACT Libin Saputra, Nim 321 407 057 “Increasing Students’ Ability in Mastering Vocabulary by Using Make a Match Technique” (A Research conducted at the first grade MTs Al-Khaerat Gorontalo city). The aim of this research is to find out whether finding Make a Match technique can increase students’ vocabulary significantly or not. The sample of this research was the first grade students of MTs Al-Khaerat Gorontalo city, which was class VIII B in 2011/2012 Academic year consist of 21 students. The method used was pre experimental method. It was used an achievement test (pre-test and post-test) to collect the data. In analyzing the data, quantitative analyzing by using t-testing was use. After computing the data, it was found that tcount = -0.74 ? tlist = 1.725. it means that (Ho) is accepting. Based on the criteria of accept Ha if tcount > tlist . It can be concluded that there is not significantly increasing students’ vocabulary mastering before and after treatment given in class VIIIB at MTs Al Khaerat Gorontalo City. It is proved by the result of the research and testing hypothesis. Key Word: “Students’ ability, Vocabulary and Make a Match Technique”
