Strategy toward Recount Text “ ( a research conducted in SMA Negeri 2
Kotamobagu )
The aim of this research is to find out whether or not the application of Non-Stop
writing strategy can influence students’ toward writing recount text. I choose this topic
because based on my first observation in SMA Negeri 2 Kotamobagu, the students who
learn English got difficulties in writing recount text. They face the difficulties in find out
idea, arrange supporting idea, and writing recount based on generic structure. The subject
of this research is the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 2 Kotamobagu, especially in class
XI IPA 1 which consist 28 students. In this research used is quantitative method by
research design has used quasi experiment by using pre-test, treatment, and the post-test.
The hypothesis criteria was used is H0 will be accepted if t count ? t list. The result of
this research shows that t count (-7, 36) smaller than t list (2,02) with the level of
significant ? = 0,05. It means that the hypothesis of this research is tenable or there is
significant influence by using Non-Stop writing strategy in writing recount text. The
Non-stop Writing strategy shows the positive effect in writing by students. The research
also gave advantages to students to increase their ability its self, in writing recount text
process.
