Abstrak
ABSTRACT
YulianaManalip. 2015. a descriptive study on students' difficulties in using prepositional phrase in paragraph.
This research conducted based on the problem statement of this research is "how are the students' difficulties in using preposition. The objective of this research is "to describe the students' difficulties in using prepositional phrase in narrative paragraph".
The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The source of this research is the students of SMP 8 of Gorontalo City, especially the students in second grade in VIII-D consist of 25 students.In collecting the data, I use the test, The kinds of test are essay test.
The students' difficulties in using prepositional phrase in the first text dream was 52,8. It can be conclude that the students' difficulties can be classified into "average". The students' difficulties in using prepositional phrase in the second text love story of Antony and Cleopatrawas 84,8. It can be conclude that the students' difficulties can be classified into "very low". The students' difficulties in using prepositional phrase in the third text the story rabbit and bearwas 66,29. It can be conclude that the students' difficulties can be classified into "low". The students' difficulties in using prepositional phrase in the fourth the legend of MalinKundang 89,71. It can be conclude that the students' difficulties can be classified into "very low". The students' difficulties in using prepositional phrase in whole textwas 74,17. It can be conclude that the students' difficulties can be classified into "low".
