Anggraini Y. Hunowu. 2013. Descriptive Study on Students’ Comprehension in Identifying Moral Value in Reading Narrative Text. (A research conducted at the XII grade students of MAN Model Gorontalo).
The objective of research is to describe students’ comprehension in identifying moral value in reading narrative text. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The subject of this research is the students of grade XII at MAN Model Gorontalo which consist of 19 students. The data were collected by giving the tests. The tests consist of ten narrative texts. In this case, students have to read and identify the moral value of each text. There are three steps that I used in analyzing the collected data; identification, classification, and interpretation. The result of the research shows that there are 8 students or 42% who got score less than 20%, 6 students or 32% got score between 25-40%, and 5 students or 26% got score in the level 45%. It means that students’ comprehension in identifying moral value in reading narrative text is low because 42% is the highest percent of the students who got score less than 20% and it is categorized into poor level.
