Abstrak

ABSTRACT Fitrianingsi Kasamo, 321408027. The Application Of Tom And Jerry Comic as Teaching Media in Improving Students’ Mastering Vocabulary. (A research conducted at VII 1 of SMPN 1 Tapa) The aim of this research is to improve students’ vocabulary by using Tom And Jerry comic as teaching media. This research is using Quantitative method and also using pre-experimental design. The populasi of this reseach is all the students of grade of SMPN 1 Tapa which consist of 176 students, and the sample is in seven grade which consist of 21 students. The data was collected by using test. This research analyzed by quantitatively which use t- test. The result of this research showed that Tom And Jerry comic can improve students’ vocabulary. It is can be seen that by the value of tcount is more than t list or 6.76 ? 2.021. So that, the hypothesis of this research is acceptable. The result showed that students’ vocabulary was important aspect to teach. And to the teacher, I suggest to used media in learning process such as Tom And Jerry comic because it can help the students to improved their vocabulary.
