Abstrak

ABSTRACT Fitriati S. Ali (2013): “An Analysis of Conflict in The Clinic” (A Movie by James Rabbiits) This study aims to describe conflict in the movie by James Rabbiits, titled The Clinic. It focused on analysis of external conflicts that occurred between characters. The source of the data was the utterances or conversations in the movie. Methodology of research was descriptive method and the study applied library research to collect the data. In technique of analyzing the data was obtains by identification, classification, and analyzing. The result showed that in The Clinic movie contained of external conflict, they are Man vs. Man, Man vs. Fate, Man vs. Nature, and Man vs. Society. Based on classified, all kinds of external conflict occurred in the main character, and the other kinds occurred in the other characters. Based on analysis, it concluded that external conflict dominated by Man vs. Man, there is conflict among character. Key word: External conflict, The Clinic
