The research focus is to know how the acronyms word formation in the films. This subject of this research is a movie and I as the instrument. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The data are collected by watching five movies in twice. Acronyms are the process whereby a new word is formed for the initial letters of the constituent words of a phrase or sentence. The acronyms word by two items, there are pronounced as a word, and pronounced as sequences of letters. According to Kamil Wisniewki (2007:05) word formations denotes the process of creation of new of word and creation of a new term are quite easy to perceive there is sometimes a dispute as to whether blending is still a morphological change or making a new word from initial letters. The result this research base on my in documentation, the researcher found that there are 9% is acronyms pronounced as a word and the 91% is the acronyms, which pronounced as sequences of letters. Base on the result the researcher assumed that very many the actor or actress used the words acronyms which pronounced as sequences of letters. Based on the finding the using acronyms in the word or in activity of language make speakers, readers and listener easily and simply do their activity. Sometimes the acronyms many try people use to slang, because the following era modern and development of language because the language is arbiter.
