Abstrak
ABSTRACT
Masni Djauhari. 2013. NIM: 321408051. Skripsi: “The application of PQ4R method in reading narrative text (this research conducted at second grade students in MA.AL-Huda Gorontalo).
The aim of this research is to know whether the application of PQ4R method can improve students comprehension in reading narrative text. The population of this research is all the students in second grade at MA. Al-Huda. This research use purposive sampling and the sample is class XI IPA. Consist of 28 students. The result of this research shows that application of PQ4R method can improve students ability in comprehending the reading of narrative text. The hypothesis is Ho tenable if tcount is largest than tlist . The result was show that 4,12 > 2,02 with the degree of freedom = (n1+n2-2) = (28+28-2) = 54 and the level of the significance (?) = 0,05. It is indicated that the hypothesis of this research is acceptable. It can be seen the results of pre-test score are 356% and post-test score are 430%. Furthermore based on the result of this research, it concludes that there is significant or positive impact on the used of PQ4R method in reading narrative text.
