Abstrak

ABSTRACT Yuniartie Goi. 2012. NIM: 321408130. Skripsi: “The Influence of Group Investigation Method Toward Students’ Ability in Writing Recount Text. (A research conducted in tenth grade, at MA Almunawwarah Paguyaman)” The objective of this research is to find out the influence of group investigation method toward students’ ability in writing recount text. The source of research are the tenth grade students of MA Almunawwarah Paguyaman in 2012/2013 academic year that consist of one class. The method used in this research is quantitative method by using one group pre-test and post-test design by using statistic technique in analyzing the data. The data is collected by giving writing test. The hypothesis verification of this research was “Group Investigation method can influence students’ ability in writing recount text.” The criteria which is used to verify the hypothesis is acceptable ? value ? 0.05, in this research can be seen that ? value (0.000) < ? (0.05) (H_0 is refused and Ha is acceptable) so, it can be conclude that there is significant difference among pretest and posttest. Keywords: Recount Text, Group Investigation Method
