This study aims at describing the errors that found on Google Translation output in translating Narrative Text in the form of Local folklores from Indonesian into English and its followed by the description of the cause error effect toward the different structures both of the languages. By using Qualitative Descriptive method, this study classifies the errors based on Dulay, Burt, and Karshen (1982) method about Error Analysis, namely Omission Error, Addition Error, Misformation, and Misordering. From the results of the study, there found that some category of errors in which Omission Error that is caused by the absence of items that need to complete the phrases also sentences such as Omissions of article, preposition, pronoun, plural marker, auxiliary verb, possessive marker, and to be. Then, addition error in which the addition of unnecessary items in the phrase or sentences, such as addition of be, addition of pronoun, and addition of plural marker –s. The next is Misformation that refers to wrong form of words that consist of misformation of be, misformation of verb, and misformation of parallel structure of ideas. The last is Misordering that consist of Misordering noun phrase, Misordering of adjective phrase, Misordering of possessive phrase, Misordering of simple sentence/simple sentence with compound verb, Misordering of complex sentence, Misordering of simple future sentence, and Misordering of question word. The errors that are produced by Google Translator are caused by the different rules of grammar such as the construction of adjective and noun phrase, grammatical endings, the use of tenses, and the use of article among the two languages. From this output, it can be seen that Omission and Misordering are the dominant errors that Google Translator produced in translating Narrative text.
